Dear Osseo Area Schools families:
I’m writing to let you know that we have extended the deadline to register for the Distance Learning Academy. The new deadline is Wednesday, August 12 at 9 p.m. I know many of you are still considering this fully remote learning option, so we are providing a few more days for you to register. If you have questions about the Academy, please visit the Distance Learning Academy website; the Academy FAQ section might be especially helpful.
I’m also aware some of you are wondering when you’ll receive your scholar’s hybrid model group assignment so that you can plan for which days your child will attend school in person. Please know that we are currently working on those assignments and will provide more information as soon as we can. As my earlier messages indicated, we are attempting to assign siblings to the same group and create efficient bus routes at the same time we ensure compliance with the 50% capacity limit in the hybrid model. Unfortunately, we cannot accept requests to assign children to a specific group.
Many of the questions we’ve received so far are answered in the Detailed Plan document found on the district website; if you haven’t already reviewed that document, I’d encourage you to do so because it might answer your questions, too.
I want to assure you that our team is working non-stop to prepare for the new school year. As new information becomes available, I will continue to share it with you.
For now, please note that the deadline to register for the Distance Learning Academy is now Wednesday, August 12, at 9 p.m. If you have not yet requested bus transportation for your high school student (gr 9-12), please do so here.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate creating a new way to do school this year.
